Peter Russell: The Path of No Effort
Peter Russell brings a sharp, critical mind to contemporary spirituality and the challenge of self-awakening. Originally studying mathematics and theoretical physics, he then became increasingly interested in the nature of consciousness, and in the late sixties traveled to India, to study meditation and Eastern philosophy. On his return he established a meditation center in Cambridge, UK, and went on to pioneer the introduction of personal growth programs to corporations. He coined the term “global brain” with his 1980s bestseller of the same name in which he predicted the Internet and the impact it would have on human consciousness and spiritual awakening. His other books, which include Waking Up in Time, and From Science to God.
Peter has been teaching meditation for 40 years, and has found that the key to a quiet mind is giving up all effort and trying. The beauty of this approach is that nothing needs to be changed or eliminated. It is simply allowing the mind to relax and drop back into its true nature. Join him for an exploration into the essence of letting go.
