Presence: Our Only Refuge

Abiding presence is the only ground from which right action can flower in our world.

These times demand a strong Presence if we are to care as Love for the world right now. So letÕs come together in truth and love, to connect as our true nature for ourselves and our world. This brings forward wisdom and compassion. Naturally the right action follows.

During this evening satsang, Marlies guides us in a short meditation followed by a Dharma talk and conversation. There will be an opportunity to share and ask questions.

Marlies Myoku Cocheret brings a potent invitation into the deep silence that we are. She gathers women together to celebrate their sovereignty and the sensual, silent essence within their bodies. SheÕs been leading women on journeys of intimate connection with themselves and the feminine Divine for 25+ years and has been offering satsang and retreat since 2000 when Adyashanti asked her to teach. She lives in Tennessee and works internationally as a spiritual teacher, psychologist, Hakomi therapist, and tantric educator.

ÒMarlies is a master at offering practices that help us embody and connect to ourselves. I felt seen and met by her. Her work is deeply still and yet so enlivening. What a gift!Ó ~ B.E.

We offer our events by donation or sliding scale with scholarships available to make them as accessible as possible. We still however have many expenses to pay and therefore we ask that you contribute as much as you can comfortably afford for an event. Most of the funds are paid directly to the teacher. The remainder goes towards Open Circle’s expenses so that we can keep our platform in operation. Your generosity also helps cover any scholarships we offer to those unable to pay within the sliding scale.

Most events consist of a guided or silent meditation, a talk by the teacher, and time for questions and sharing. There may be other practices such as somatic exercises, movement practice, dyads, etc. Each teacher chooses the format freely according to what they feel supports their message best, so formats may vary.
