Lisa Witter ~ Awakening through Kashmir Shaivism (In-Person Event)

In this satsang, Lisa will guide us in exploring Kashmir Shaivism. This points to a deep engagement with life, finding the sacred in the simple, and connecting with the Divine through our sense of taste. Rooted in non-dual Tantric tradition, this is a journey of awakening through sensory exploration. Discover a non-dual approach to savoring each moment, finding joy and divinity in even the most mundane experiences.

Nondual shaivism originated in Kashmir in 850 – 900 AD. It was written in sutras and other texts, as a branch of Hinduism. It’s referred to as a “tantra” practice, as it’s done in private, with emphasis on posture, the mind, and controlling vital energy. This tradition teaches the full experiencing our sensory perceptions, emotions, and thoughts, without rejecting them as illusion or distractions. The true nature of reality and ourselves are recognized as one and the same. Lisa will lead us in an “embodied” form of non-dualism, using the senses as the doorway toward recognition of our true nature. She will explore Kashmir Shaivism as a nondual approach to modern life.

Lisa Witter is a Sebastopol-based Psycho-Spiritual Counselor, Non-Dual Tantric meditation teacher, and founder of the Living Tantra Project and Tantric Arts Collective. She specializes in helping practitioners integrate their spiritual practice and awakening experiences into daily lifeÑteaching how to live a tantra-informed life.

With over 20 years of study and practice, Lisa bridges a rare gap: she brings together professional training in spiritual counseling and coaching with deep commitment to classical tantric lineages. She was initiated in Paramahansa YoganandaÕs kriya yoga lineage and continues advanced studies in Trika _aivism and _r_ Vidy_ Tantra. She also holds professional certifications in Depth Hypnosis, EFT, Life Coaching, Somatic Healing, and Expressive Arts.

Lisa is known for her clear, accessible teaching, her ethical grounding, and her expertise in cult dynamics in the spiritual spaceÑoffering guidance that is both trauma-aware and deeply rooted in practice. Lisa worked side by side with the late Barbara Marx Hubbard, with whom she facilitated a weekly online broadcast called Evolutionary Church. She is a contributing author to the Amazon best seller Soulful Leadrship: A Spiritual Path to Health, Wealth and Love.
