Lynn Marie Lumiere, MFT, SEP ~ Integrating Nonduality and Somatic Trauma Healing

Trauma healing and nondual awakening come together in the present moment, the eternal now. The ability to be present here and now is essential for awakening to our deeper Nature and embodying that in our lives. It is also necessary for healing the effects of traumatic stress. However, trauma profoundly disrupts this ability, as the body-mind can remain stuck in a state of perpetual vigilance, making it difficult to fully inhabit the present moment. Therefore, spiritually bypassing our trauma greatly limits our awakening and embodiment process.

I believe that no one on planet Earth has escaped experiencing trauma to some degree. We often think of trauma as only related to big events such as war or serious abuse. However, it has to do with any stress outside the range of our nervous systemÕs window of tolerance. This has more of an impact if experienced in childhood and can involve accidents and injuries or an environment that lacked safety and attunement in relation with our caregivers, which caused harm. It can also include collective trauma, which we are all exposed to in our world today.

When it comes to trauma, skillful means are needed to regulate the nervous system and expand our window of tolerance, so we are more able to both rest in Being and be present with our human wounding. Trauma healing occurs on all levels. However, it is primarily a somatic process and is an opportunity for experiencing embodied Presence. This webinar will be an introduction to nondual trauma healing and will include learning somatic skills, experiential processing, and a somatic guided meditation. You are encouraged to attend in person to benefit from working directly with Lynn Marie and are welcome to attend by recording as well.
