Marlies Myoku Cocheret ~ Falling into the Ecstasy of Now ~ Monthly Satsang

In summer our bodies warm up, which for me is a basic joy of life. I feel the cells in my body softening and opening. Relaxation happens.

We are like little ladybugs, trying to crawl up the sides of a steep bowl. At the bottom of the bowl is Now Ð the place we are most afraid to fully be. We canÕt completely escape the bowl. We always fall back towards “just this” no matter how hard we try.

Then, when we finally, totally, utterly let go we fall and fall. Then the ecstasy of Now is ours.

Please join us for this Monthly Satsang where we together fall into the ecstasy of Now.

After the Dharma talk, there will be an opportunity to share, so please bring your experience, presence and questions to share with the group.

Marlies Myoku Cocheret de la Morinire has devoted her life to the Beloved. She brings a potent invitation into the deep Silence that we are. The kindness of her gentle and direct teaching guides us home like a lighthouse. Marlies has been offering satsang and retreat since 2000 when Adyashanti asked her to teach. She lives in Santa Cruz, California and works internationally as a psychologist, Hakomi therapist and Tantric Educator.

Marlies is interviewed in the book Awakened Relating. A Guide To Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships by Lynn Marie Lumiere, and in the book Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Wisdom by R.M. Robinson.

ÒWith Adya, the bottom fell out. I deeply knew I am not this body, mind, thought, psyche, and I am also all these things as well. There was no in and/or out. All is One.Ó

It’s part of our core values to make our events as accessible as possible. If you are not able to pay within the sliding scale, we’d still like to make it possible for you to join by offering a partial scholarship. Please contact us on web@opencirclecenter.org to request a scholarship.
We offer our events by donation or sliding scale with scholarships available to make them as accessible as possible. We still however have many expenses to pay and therefore we ask that you contribute as much as you can comfortably afford for an event. Most of the funds are paid directly to the teacher. The remainder goes towards Open Circle’s expenses so that we can keep our platform in operation. Your generosity also helps cover any scholarships we offer to those unable to pay within the sliding scale.

You’ll find an overview of the nature of our events, including the common types and formats, in our About Events page.
Most events consist of a guided or silent meditation, a talk by the teacher, and time for questions and sharing. There may be other practices such as somatic exercises, movement practice, dyads, etc. Each teacher chooses the format freely according to what they feel supports their message best, so formats may vary.
