TEACHER BIOGRAPHY
Shakti Caterina Maggi
Shakti Caterina Maggi is a spiritual guide whose work integrates non-dual insight and embodied awareness into a contemporary path of self-inquiry, rooted in Tantra and Advaita Vedanta
Her approach is grounded in a direct exploration of lived experience, inviting individuals to engage with their inner world in an honest and compassionate way. Rather than offering belief systems or prescribed methods, her work supports a process of inquiry that unfolds from what is already present in each person’s experience.
She accompanies people from different cultural, personal, and spiritual backgrounds, creating a space in which vulnerability, sensitivity, and human complexity are not seen as obstacles, but as essential elements of a mature and grounded wisdom. Through careful attention to embodied experience, emotions, and relational patterns, her work encourages an integration that does not bypass the human dimension, but fully includes it.
At the heart of her approach is an invitation to look at life as it is actually lived, moment by moment, allowing life itself to become a mirror through which consciousness can recognize itself. This perspective supports a more intimate and realistic relationship with existence, fostering clarity, presence, and inner stability even in times of uncertainty or change. The teaching aims to transform the fear of the ego into our natural joy of living through the recognition of our true self.
Shakti teaches around the world both in person and online, through satsang, intensives and residential seminars.
What people are saying…
“She has always impressed me with her honesty, authenticity, humility, and integrity.”
Having conducted over 535 interviews on my show, Buddha at the Gas Pump, many fade in my memory and years later, I can’t recall much about them. But a handful of guests make such an impression that I not only remember them, but form lasting friendships with them and recommend them to people who ask who my favorites are. Shakti is one such guest. In the two years since I’ve known her, she has always impressed me with her honesty, authenticity, humility, and integrity. I always hear positive feedback from people who attend her programs.
Rick Archer, Buddha at the Gas Pump
“Her teaching flows from lived experience, not just understanding.”
What makes Shakti Caterina an exceptional guide is her unwavering commitment to her own inner journey. Her teaching flows from lived experience, not just understanding.
Jac O’Keeffe, spiritual leader, cofounder and president of the Association for Spiritual Integrity
“Shakti’s presence is authentic, real, accessible and embodied.”
Shakti’s presence is authentic, real, accessible and embodied. Working with her has enriched my work as a somatic psychotherapist in ways that no training or personal therapy had ever taught me. I have a deeper access to my intuition, my instinct and body awareness, which is reflected in my work and relationships with clients. Shakti is one of the deepest teachers of my life. I am grateful to be part of her community and I can’t wait for new retreats!”
